Residential

State Safe Drinking Water Fee

  • Act 605 of 2016 authorized the increase in the Safe Drinking Water Fee beginning January 1, 2017
  • The fee will pay for all inspections, tests or procedures on public water supplies that may be authorized by the administrator of the environmental protection act. In other words, the fee pays for the cost of testing to keep our drinking water safe
  • The fee is $12.00 per water connection per year
  • LUS includes $1.00 to each customer’s monthly bill
