Equitable Distribution of Treatment Costs

Industrial users exceeding pollutant levels that can generally be expected from normal domestic municipal wastewater levels could potentially cause the City-Parish’s treatment expense to increase.

In order to distribute the cost of treatment to all users on an equitable basis, a surcharge will be as set forth in Chapter 94, Article III, Lafayette Consolidated Code of Ordinances (or most recent revision thereof) and the permitted industrial user will be billed accordingly.
